It is quite astonishing to see the difference in prices over 30 years. Also to see how some things such as shoes and televisions are now cheaper. I suppose it all reflects on how consumer habits and technology have changed.
I am a child of the 80's and grew up with all of those bad hair dos and shoulder pads. Some things are best left in the past!
However, for me, the most defining part of the 80's was the music and all that went with it. I was lucky to grow up with some of the music legends of all times...Madonna, Blondie, The Cure, Bowie, Michael Jackson, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, U2, The Eurythmics.....the list is endless. I couldn't even begin to list my favourite songs.
